Cornwall OSET Cup 2023 Final Round

The Camborne and Redruth MC held the final round of the Winter and Spring Series of the 2023 Cornwall OSET Cup on Saturday 24th June at Trebarrow, Bugle. Once again, we were blessed with glorious sunshine and totally bone-dry conditions where again organisers were able to step up the game and include some challenging sections. Being the final round some of the OSET Cup positions had already been decided however the Hard Course and 8-year Medium Class went right to the wire and had to be decided on the day. We also welcomed a new rider to the OSET family, 6-year-old Blake Charlesworth out for the first time on his OSET 20. On the Hard Course Josh Dustow and Kyle Bateman were just one point away from each other having battled closely throughout the series, Josh with 66 points and Kyle 65 but in today's harder than normal sections Josh clearly showed he was the 'man' to beat losing just 60 marks with Kyle in 2nd place on 93 and Dexter Tripconey 3rd on 104. The 8-year-old battle was also clearly decided with Cody Holloway losing 84 marks to Henry Smith's 100. Closest competition was in the 7-year class where Jenson Daw and William Lewis had a hard-fought day between them with Jenson emerging the victor on 98 marks with William just two marks adrift on 100.
