THE REAL NATIONAL RUNNERS AND RIDERS

Press Release – 07 April 2016 - This weekend sees the first round of the ACU OSET British Youth Trials Championship.  With going good to soft for the trials world grand national, the event will be hosted by Bradford Trials Club at Holden Woods in Silsden. 80 riders are scheduled to compete, promising a nail biting event across every class.

Front runners in the B-Class are sure to be Billy Green, Jacob Snowden, and Oliver Smith, fresh from their recent European successes, as well as Daniel Slack Mitch Brightmore and last years C class champion Reece Gazzard. Let’s hope there’s no fallers in this class.  With many on new bikes we’ll be asking the question did they Buy Wise over the winter?

Jack Dance, Jamie Galloway and  Elliot Laws will all go head to head – but with so many talented riders in the C-Class Standard wheels be prepared for a podium shake up!  Will one of them be Out On His Own?

C-Class medium wheels is dominated by OSET Cup Alumni Henry Stephenson, Harry Turner and Harry Hemingway.  Alfie Lampkin, son of world champion Dougie, is a tasty rider while Dominic Horne comes into the class for the first time on an OSET 24.0.  How will they fair on the Rocky Creek?

With a handful of riders in the D-Class Medium Wheel route, Myles Hutchinson on his OSET 24.0 has his eyes on the prize.  Equally capable of claiming the top spot is Charlie Crossland…there’s barely a furlong between these two!

Form would suggest that the D-Class Small wheels is George Hemingway’s to lose.  There is nothing this youngster cannot do on an OSET.  Fearless, determined and rides like he’s on tarmac – definitely the one to beat!  Nipping at his heals though and ready to pounce is Jasper Fox whose riding ability goes from strength to strength with every event!  Toby Shaw, Freddie Stephenson and Alex Horne should show good form to finish up the top end of the chasing pack.  And as an outside bet Jacob Reeday, Elliot Smith and Stefan Richardson may well find the going suits them.

So while that’s the stuff we think we know, there are always surprises.  OSET Bikes would like to wish all the riders (and minding runners) the very best of luck.  Try and enjoy it and hope you have a feet-up ride!

Also a big thank you to Bradford Trials and the Wonderful Charm team that have worked so hard to pull together this national round.  Whilst we’re good with Many Clouds, we’ll have fingers crossed we don’t see any. Black Thunder!  The question remains, which of these riders will Rule the World…?

See you at 9.45 for the Morning Assembly riders briefing.
