British Round of Trial GP To Host OSET Mini Trial with Trials UK

OSET Bike will run a mini-trial for electric bikes at the British round of Trial GP with the help of Trials UK.  Taking place for the second consecutive year at Tong, nr Bradford, West Yorkshire, the mini trial will start at 9.30am on Saturday 08th July.

The event is open to E-Class, D-Class and C-Class riders on any electric machine.  Entries are limited to 60 riders and will work on a first come, first served basis.  Regs and entry forms are available on the OSET website with links on the OSET face book page.  Entries open 01 June and close 30 June. Cost of entry is £40 – this includes entry to practice and official qualifying on the Saturday

Simon Armstrong from OSET Bikes, explained: “We’d like all the riders to come and get on their bikes, have fun, followed by the chance to be inspired by the world’s elite do what they do best!  There will be awards for every rider.”

The course will have eight sections, ridden three or four times, to be confirmed on the day.

The £40 entry fee is per under 16 and includes third party (off road risk only) insurance, trials levy and one junior and one adult entry for Saturday only Trial GP.  This represents a saving of £5 - £15 depending on when you purchase your Saturday ticket.  Any additional tickets need to be purchased direct.

Unfortunately, there is no option to only ride the OSET Trial at this event.

The event will run like a traditional OSET Cup and will have a white route for absolute beginners, a yellow route for those that can ride without paddling through every section, a red route for those stepping up to medium-hard and a blue elite route.  If numbers go over the 60 places, entrants will be placed on a waiting list.

Simon Armstrong from OSET Bikes, said: “We’ve restricted the numbers as we don’t want the trial to take too long and we’re limited on space.  Starting at 9.30 means we’ll be wrapped up in time for official qualifying at 3pm and should be able to see some of the practice that takes place earlier.”

Nige from Trials UK, said: “We have worked with OSET since the very early days.  Since OSET Bikes have been available, we have seen a huge growth in youth trials and we’re delighted to have helped play a key role in getting the bikes into the hands of young riders.”
