Cornwall OSET Cup 2023 Round 5

The Camborne and Redruth MC held the fifth round of the 2023 Cornwall OSET Cup on Saturday 20th May at Burthy Row Farm, Fraddon and once again we were blessed with glorious sunshine and bone-dry conditions. Some of our top riders were away at the British Youth Championships but 26 riders turned up to tackle 3 laps of 10 sections. Because of the dry conditions organisers were able to include some steep climbs which although a challenge the OSET bikes seemed to cope quite well although there were a few retirements on the part of the riders.

Undisputed star of the day was 7-year-old Josh Dustow on the Hard Course to post a very creditable score of just 31 on such a demanding course, well clear of 2nd place, 11 yr old Dexter Tripconey on 50 marks. On the Medium Course the best ride was from Jasper Gelpy Smith on 29 marks, well clear of all others and 7 yr old Ethan Vanstone posted the lowest score on the Easy Course with a loss of just 16 marks.
