OSET THE 2017 BIKES

Upgrades & prices

OSET Bikes will display a selection of its new 2017 range at the British MOTO GP this weekend – including the new product OSET 24.0R, OSET 24.0R Jr and MX-10.

The ground up design for the MX-10 has seen the team analyse the ideal off-road geometry for children aged 4-7 and design components and systems to achieve optimum performance.

The market today revolves mostly around a petrol starter machine that is a simple, drum braked, petrol powered 50cc machine that has remained virtually unchanged since its introduction in 1981. The OSET MX-10 aims to provide a new and improved option!

The OSET 24.0 is available in an adult or junior version.  The OSET 24.0R Jr is aimed at the youth ‘medium wheels’ trials market.  It will allow enable the hundreds of children riding competitively across the UK the option to stay with the electric powered OSET as they grow out of the smaller OSET 20.0.  It is designed for children to ride trials age 9 – 12 or up to 61kgs (9 ½ stones).

The standard OSET 24.0R is aimed at teenagers, adults and all play riders – offering maximum entertainment value.  It comes with lightweight 19” trials tyres front and rear.  The reduced weight delivers more power, increased run time and offers a taller bike more suited to trick riding.  The suspension is set for teens and adults weighing up to 90kg (14 stones).

Along with the three new bikes in the range, every bike has been looked at for the coming year, with the Racing models enjoying the widest expanse of updates.

Ian Smith, founder and CEO of OSET Bikes, said: “The Eco version of each model is designed to be an entry level bike while the racing versions are always a significantly higher spec bike.”

The 12.5 Eco and 12.5 Racing are aimed at the smallest riders.  Kids from age 2 -5 can learn to ride.  They are simple, sturdy, adjustable and easy to manage.  Cost of ownership is low and resale value is high.

Safety is paramount across the whole range with features that include magnetic kill switches, chain guards, custom foot pegs and grips for little hands and feet and the ability to adjust power, speed and response to suit children’s ability.

The OSET 16.0 Eco and 16.0 Racing are ideal for 5 – 7 year olds.  Whether you just want to have fun in your back garden or compete at the ever popular and growing OSET Cup series where kids can learn to ride – these bikes offer a fantastic opportunity to get on two wheels.

When children are too big for the 16.0 model but too small for the 20.0 version the intermediate 20.0L offers the perfect choice to allow children to ride safely.  It features similar ergonomics to the OSET 16.0, but with bigger wheels that make conquering obstacles all the easier!  It’s also only 2kg heavier than the 16.0 and over 5kg less that the 20.0 – proportionally huge for growing riders!

The 20.0 Eco and very popular 20.0 Racing offer 7 – 12 year olds a new generation of riding.  Both powerful bikes, the racing version is now effectively the only competitive bike in its category – winning the British Championship four years in a row and owning the entire podium for the last three years.

Anyone wanting to see the OSET 24.0 in action can tune into ITV’s Go For It with Stephen Mulhurn on Saturday 03 September at 7pm to see Oliver Smith take on a nail biting challenge!
