CORNWALL OSET CUP – WINTER SERIES ROUND 6

The OSET Cup Cornwall Winter Series drew to an end on Saturday 29th April at Gilberts Coombe Redruth. With fine sunny weather, round six of the championship saw an impressive 42 entries, competing across three different routes (Easy, Medium and Hard).

On the day, all riders were presented with an OSET medal together with an individual certificate. Championship winners and the runners-up took home a coveted OSET Championship Trophy, kindly donated by Lasermaster Ltd.

Each of route was separated by age, with riders between four to nine years-old taking part in the event.

Howard Stevens, who runs the championship, said: “The winter series has been a lot of fun this year. It was good to see such a great turnout at the final round, which is really good for the club and the sport. Next up we have the summer series, kicking off this month, which is expected to be just as much fun and we look forward to seeing many of our winter series riders there.”

OSET Bikes now available for hire at Cornwall’s OSET Trials Events at a cost of £25 per day/event for anyone looking to give trials a go.

The Club recently welcomed TT and BSB star Peter Hickman to their awards night, where he presented trophies to many of the OSET riding youngsters and entertained the members with life as a successful motorbike racer with Smiths Racing BMW Team.

The opening round of the OSET Cup Cornwall Summer Championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 29th May at Garker Alley, St Austell, PL26 8YE.
