Full Job Description

The Market Leading Off-Road Electric Motorcycle Manufacturer

OSET, a part of the Triumph Motorcycles Group, are world leaders in electric trials, off road and motocross motorcycles for children from the age of 3 up to adults. OSET kids electric motorcycles are recognised globally as the best bikes for children to learn on and improve their motorbike skills. Being electric they have no hot parts, require no petrol, produce no fumes and are virtually silent - meaning riders can use them everyday in places other bikes cannot go.

OSET Bikes Limited aims to inspire riders through our ingenuity in delivering inspirational products that exceed customers’ expectations. As part of Triumph Motorcycles our focus is to ensure our new model introduction is reliable, timely and operates consistently to the highest quality.

The Operations Manager is a new role in OSET Bikes. Its introduction is designed to move OSET from a highly flexible SME to a more structured operation which achieves better visibility and enhanced control. The challenge is to achieve this without losing the flexibility of a smaller company whilst leveraging the capabilities of Triumph.

OSET’s Operations Manager is responsible for delivering new motorcycle projects from the beginning of the concept phase right through until the motorcycle is thoroughly bedded into volume production and launched to the public. This is a “hands on” role where you won’t just be managing projects/operations, but pro-actively driving progress by not only liaising, but working, with other managers, teams, individuals and suppliers to deliver tasks/parts/solutions at pace. The post, by its nature, will include progress reporting, producing, monitoring and updating plans/Gantt charts; raising and reporting on issues; and highlighting risks.

You will also be instrumental in transitioning OSET’s projects and ways of working to Triumph processes and procedures, including helping OSET develop processes to track the development of new components manufactured in Asia.

This is a new and high-profile role within the OSET business with regular exposure to the senior OSET team and Triumph Management and as such we are looking for a highly dynamic, structured, and flexible individual with outstanding interpersonal skill and a drive to deliver to time, quality and cost targets.
