OSET TRIUMPHS AT WORLD ROUND

OSET Cup results

Less than a handful of years ago OSET was the new kid on the block and appearing at the GP World Trial for the first time as an exhibitor.  Back then, many in the world of trials hadn’t seen an electric trials bike, and it’s fair to say, many were sceptical.

This weekend, the world trial moved to its new home at Tong, Bradford, with OSET Bikes as a headline sponsor.  The marque is now considered the go-to machine for anyone looking to get their kids involved in trials.  And, hosting an OSET Cup, exclusively for electric bikes, saw the entry pushed to nearly 60 bikes.

Ian Smith, founder of OSET Bikes, said: “By day we watched the world’s best and by night the kids had the opportunity to emulate the likes of Bou, Raga and Dabill in their own trial – across the same land being ridden by the superstars.   We believe in taking fun seriously and the kids certainly had lots of fun in a seriously awesome venue!

“We were also very proud of our son Oliver, who competed at this level for the first time on the OSET PR1 in the 125 class.  To have a prototype bike on the same stage as the best in the world is something we’re delighted with.  All firsts bring with them big learning curves but it has also given us real confidence as we move forward.”

We would encourage many of the riders that took part at Tong, to enter the YMSA three Day over the course of the bank holiday weekend.  It’s three full days of riding with lots of fun thrown in – especially with most families choosing to camp together at Dudwood Farm – the venue for the last day.  If you can ride a yellow – red route then the D-Class course will be set for you.

Well done to everyone who rode and had fun at the world round – we look forward to seeing you all soon!  Feet up everyone!
